Google announces Pixel 10 presentation date

Google could present no less than five smartphones during the event.

Samsung, one of Apple's main competitors, has traditionally released its new Galaxy phones at the beginning of the year. The Galaxy S25s were released last February, a few days after their official presentation during Galaxy Unpacked. Before the iPhone 17 arrives in September, it's Google's turn to unveil its Pixel 10. We finally know the launch date for the Alphabet subsidiary's new smartphones.

Google announces Pixel 10 unveiling on August 20

Google has sent invitations to several media outlets and influencers to its Made by Google event, dedicated to the presentation of the Pixel 10. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20th at 7 p.m. Paris time . The Made by Google event will be held in New York. Of course, you can follow the presentation live on YouTube.

The Pixel 10 lineup is rumored to consist of four devices: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. We shouldn't expect a design revolution. However, Google could unveil a new foldable smartphone called the Pixel 10 Pro Fold . It wouldn't be as thin and light as Samsung's recent Galaxy Z Fold7. However, it would be a benchmark in terms of weather resistance for a foldable smartphone. Its water and dust resistance rating is said to be IP68, better than the Z Fold7's IP48.

The Pixel Pro 10 Fold is also rumored to get a larger battery to improve its battery life. You'll likely have to break the bank to get your hands on this tech powerhouse. Google's new Pixel 10s will compete directly with Apple's iPhone 17s, which will be unveiled a few days later in early September. Apple isn't expected to release a foldable smartphone this year. The foldable iPhone could hit the market in 2026 alongside the iPhone 18s.
